Remember Timbland and Magoo the supergroup that introduced us to Aaliyah, Missy Elliot and Ginuwine? Timbaland is still around as one of the most well-known producers in music today, but Magoo...Magoo is MIA. I searched for awhile and came up with no new news on magoo, i'm pretty sure that him and Elvis are kicking it in Costa Rica at 2pac's crib.

Since most people have a few days off from work (not me!!!) I figured that this would be a great opportunity for the few people who do check my blog to catch up/start listening to a great podcast. I mentioned this podcast in the Little Brother blog that I posted last month. Gordon Gartrell Radio is hosted by Phonte Coleman and DJ Brainchild. The show has a topic that varies everyweek in which Phonte discusses his hilarious viewpoints and sprinkles in many great songs throughout the show.

The Album that Changed my Life

So, i know the exact moment when I went from listening to the Radio and tuned into the sounds on the underground hip-hop circuit. I went from being fed what someone else wanted me to hear, to searching internet for new songs from unheard artists and crate-digging. May I present the album that I listened to December 2005...Little Brother's "The Minstrel Show".
Hear are some of my favorite cuts from that album.

This song's 3rd verse by Phonte absolutley embodied what I felt as a man up until last year.

Greatest Xmas Story you never Heard

10 years ago my step-father played this story for me and I giggled. Cheech and Chong give you the greatest story about Santa Claus and his Old Lady.
